Israel
When the Zionists seized possession of their promised land, it had already been inhabited by Palestinians for thousands of years and was consequently called Palestine. After the Zionist military victory, the land of Palestine was divided into two zones: one in which the original inhabitants were able to survive, and one in which the Zionist invaders had gained the upper hand. This is a historical fact, and anyone who denies it, in my opinion, is engaging in populist historical distortion, like Amalia Baerbock, for example.
But that's not the point, the relevant congressman from the US Democratic Party explains on CNN. The Jews need a Jewish state—not just the Zionists in occupied Palestine, but all of them. They suffered a traumatic experience during their persecution in the Third Reich. No one wanted them, no one gave them asylum, not even Britain or the USA. That's why all Jews rightfully long for a Jewish state. I understand that, and I believe the Jews of this world have a right to a Jewish state. Unfortunately, it's often expressed that way.
The Jews have a right to the existence of the nation of Israel.
That is correct but very unfortunately expressed
It would be much better to say
The Jews have the right to the existence of a democratic Jewish state.

Mind you, I was speaking of Jews, not Zionists. Zionists are also Jews. I have the impression, and I hope I'm not mistaken, that the vast majority of the world's Jews are not Zionists. The Jews had the following experience in the 1930s and 1940s.
A) they were murdered by Germans in a genocide.
B) Many could have survived, they could have fled from the Germans.
