We quote from the article:

Early Saturday morning, the Pope and his entourage set off for the Blue Mosque, an Istanbul landmark, where they walked across the orange carpet in their socks. What Leo had revealed some time ago was confirmed here as well: he wore "White Sox"—a tongue-in-cheek reference to the name of the Chicago baseball team, of which he is an avowed fan, aside from the fact that popes generally prefer to wear white...

What everyone is certainly interested in is THE EVENTS AND DISCUSSIONS ON THE CONCIE OF NICAHEA

Immediately afterwards came the visit to the retirement home, followed in the afternoon by the ecumenical commemoration in Nicaea, about two hours from Istanbul. However, our driver almost certainly set a record, thanks to the police escort for the group of journalists and his particularly reckless driving – roughly half of the accompanying media representatives stepped off the buses ashen-faced and were by no means looking forward to the equally energetic return journey...

An ARD journalist asked the Pope about the reform process of the Catholic Church in Germany on the flight from Beirut to Rome this Tuesday. The Pope responded: “The Synodal Path is not the only one in Germany; the entire Church has held a synod in recent years… There are great similarities, but also some clear differences between the way the Synodal Path has been pursued in Germany and how it could best be continued in the universal Church.”

From his perspective, there is certainly “room for respect for inculturation,” the Pope continued. “The fact that synodality is lived in a certain way in one place and differently in another does not mean that there has to be a break or a schism. I think it is very important to remember this.”

Talks are to be continued.

Leo XIV also referred to the talks between German bishops and representatives of the Roman Curia regarding the Synodal Path. Just recently...A new edition of this discussion round took place in the Vatican.

This was the first detailed statement by the Pope, who was elected to his office on May 8, regarding the reform efforts within the Catholic Church in Germany. During his time at the Roman Curia, the current Pope had already participated in dialogue with the German side on several occasions before his election.

and what else

The Pope will perhaps fly to Africa.

and

Regarding the Middle East, he literally said:

"The main part of our work takes place not in public, but rather behind the scenes. We will continue this in order to convince the individual parties to stop using weapons and violence and to sit down at a table to talk – to find solutions that are non-violent, but can be all the more effective."

And what else is there?

When asked about a message from the Shiite Hezbollah to him, the Pope replied that he would "not comment on it at this moment".

There are other things too.
